rockGROUP is the church youth group! We meet together on Saturday nights between 8 & 10pm.

rockGROUP the purpose and vision…
The purpose behind rockGROUP is to provide a safe, caring and relevant place where young people can hang out and enjoy themselves, while offering them the opportunity to explore and respond to Jesus Christ and his teaching.

Our vision is to make young disciples who are faithful to Jesus, his teaching and his mission! His teaching being the bible! His mission being: taking the gospel to a lost world. Therefore we call young people to radical obedience to the scriptures, and we encourage young people to know, love, share and live lives worthy of the good news of Jesus! We emphasise that such a radical life is only possible because of the sacrifice Jesus paid for our sin and because the same power that raised him from the dead is at work in Christians through the Holy Spirit. Therefore we call young people to have faith in Christ alone, through the power of the Holy Spirit alone, to the glory of God alone!


rockGROUP explained…
rockGROUP is our youth group, its what we do in Castlebar Christian Fellowship every Saturday night between 8-10pm. We have fun and games, PS2 Pro Evo, table tennis and pool but the most important thing we do is meet together to learn about and worship JESUS. All young people are very welcome.

Once a month, rockGROUP comes to a house near you! We meet once a month on a Sunday in Westport, Castlebar and Foxford. This is a more informal gathering of young people where we chat and discuss God, life and everything else.


From time to time, rockGROUP will plan trips away to big events like '1WAY GOES LARGE’ or ‘PULSE’, as well as planning our own ‘ILLUMINATE’ events, which are focused on reaching non-Christian young people in our own area.
rockGROUP is a place where all young people can come and feel welcome. To come and chat, relax and meet other young people in a safe and caring environment. rockGROUP is also a place where you can discover who Jesus Christ is and how he can make a difference to your life...
